Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how Plant Mate (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses information when you visit this site, join our waitlist, or place a $1 Founder’s Reservation.

What we collect

  • Email address. When you join the waitlist or reserve for $1, we collect your email so we can send launch updates and product news.
  • Reservation payment. $1 reservations are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe does. We receive a confirmation that the payment succeeded and tag your email as a reservation holder.
  • Referral code. If you arrive from a referral link we record an anonymized referral code so we can credit the referrer in our raffle. Your own referral link uses a one-way hash of your email, so your email address is never visible in shared links.
  • Marketing attribution. We capture UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign, content) from links you click so we know which posts and ads brought you to the site.
  • Cookies. We set one first-party cookie (pm_email) that remembers your email between pages so you don’t have to retype it. Third-party cookies are set by the services listed below.

Your rights

  • Unsubscribe. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link in the footer. Clicking it removes you from all future broadcasts.
  • Refund.$1 reservations are refundable at any time before our Kickstarter campaign launches. Reply to any of our emails and we’ll issue the refund.
  • Access or delete. Email us at plant.mate.io@gmail.com and we’ll export or delete the data we hold about you within 30 days.
  • Opt out of ad tracking.You can disable Meta and TikTok pixels using your browser’s tracking-protection settings, an ad blocker, or the platform-level opt-out tools each provider offers.
